Getting to Know

Maggie Taylor

I have been a member of Toledo Foursquare Church since 1993 and have been in youth ministry since 1994. In addition to youth ministry, I also participate in the Altar Ministry and the Worship Team. My husband, Michael, and I have been together for 27 years and currently reside in Newport, Oregon. We have 2 adult children and three grandchildren 10, 7 and 5. I work also as a Substitute Special Education Teaching Assistant K-12 for the Lincoln County School District.

I was fearfully and wonderfully woven together in my mother’s womb (Psalm 139) and became the first baby born in 1957 in Mc Minnville, Oregon. God had a plan, I was destined to become a Youth Leader and the experiences of my life would be my training ground. Jesus is my passion, Youth Ministry is my joy and my calling, and Prayer is my lifeline. I gave my heart to Jesus at a very young age, I rededicated my life at 16 as a broken teen, I asked God to take control as a prodigal . . . by the age of 36 I had come to know by experience that the wide road that leads to destruction is real. Christ’s passionate love for me has always sustained me and I absolutely believe with all my heart that "better is one day in the house of the Lord than a thousand else where".

Favorite drink: Rich dark aromatic Coffee . . . no foo foo.

Favorite Book: (Besides the Bible) Pilgrims Progress.

Favorite Saying: "Whatever, Whatever, Whatever". . . Whatever You ask, Whatever You bring, Whatever comes . . . Jesus help me to reflect You!
